This snare drum has 2.3 mm triple flanged hoops, ten double chrome-plated brass tube lugs with central positioning, a robust and smooth Gibraltar snare strainer, and bronze snare wires.
The tone is very rich, dry, with a controlled and pleasant resonance note, extreme sensitivity regarding both dynamics and intonation; it reacts very well to both low tensions, as one would expect from a snare drum of this depth, and very high tensions, always remaining clear, expressive, and full-bodied.
