Of the various series offered, the Dirty Boppa is one of the most successful. The hammering and lathing hark back to the production of the '50s and '60s, and the sounds are very dark, warm, and articulate.
This ride has a dark, warm tone, with well-blended, never-intrusive harmonics; the ping is always clear, and the intonation, thanks in part to the flattened bell, is low. A truly interesting cymbal for jazz applications.
