PEARL Prestige World WLX 22-D-50 Antique Ivory, 1985.

Used drum set, in very good condition; 22”x16”, 12”x10”, 13”x11”, 16”x16”. The 14”x12” tom was made by the Italian company Daila in addition to the Pearl set; 2.3mm triple flange hoops, eight lugs each side, identical to the rest of the set, as well as the Antique Ivory lacquer finish.

The 16” floor tom has been massively modified to be used as a kick drum, and two legs and a tom holder mount have been installed. There are also six holes, probably evidence of a first clumsy attempt to assemble the pair of legs. The rudimentary but effective handcrafted riser is also included.

Otherwise, apart from a few scratches, the set is in very good condition.

The Prestige World (WLX) series had birch plywood and mahogany shells, with a deep, full-bodied sound, good volume and overall balance.

A sturdy and versatile set.
