PEARL FTMM1435 Free Floating 14"x3.5", used

Used snare drum in very good condition. 14"x3.5".

Pearl introduced the Free Floating series over thirty years ago, and it's still available in its catalog with a wide selection of models and materials. It was certainly a breakthrough in drumming: the shell (which could be replaced) was not drilled or weighed down by lugs, but rested on an aluminum ring that housed both the threaded bushings onto which the tension screws were screwed, and the snare strainer.

The snare drum in our possession has a Piano Black lacquered maple shell, die-cast hoops and the snare strainer is adjustable at both ends.

Still prized today, these drums have a resonant, defined tone with great projection. The shell, interchangeable with the others available in the catalog (aluminum, steel, brass, bronze, birch, mahogany), allows for a vast variety of tones.
