LUDWIG LB552 Supraphonic Bronze 14”x6.5”, 1980s.
Used snare drum in almost immaculate condition; comes from the (huge) personal collection of Roberto Gatto, a drummer and musician we all know.
It dates back to the late 80s and has been preserved in a respectful, obsessive manner. Bronze shell, triple flanged hoops, ten Imperial lugs, a perfectly functioning and extremely fluid P85 snare strainer, and a P40662 internal mute, no longer installed on today's snare drums but - in my personal opinion - very useful and appreciated.
The bronze shell is heavier than the classic aluminum one, and has a darker, warmer tone with great volume, excellent projection and definition.
An excellent and very versatile professional drum.
