LUDWIG LB550 Supraphonic Bronze 14"x5", 1980s.

Stunning snare drum in incredible condition, virtually pristine, dates back to the second half of the 80's. 14"x5".

Judging by the weight, the shell should be bronze, although the letter stamped near the mute knob says "B". Bronze snares usually have the letters "BZ "and brass ones "BS", so I'm still a bit skeptical. Ten Imperial tension rods, very tall triple flanged hoops, P85 snare wire and P40662 internal mute. Keystone Monroe badge.

A snare drum of excellent quality, with a full-bodied and extremely defined tone at any pitch and dynamic. A masterpiece!
