Clearly inspired by the famous Hofner H500/1, this Chinese-made bass is very well built and finished, with a Greenburst color that highlights the underlying maple grain.
Rosewood fretboard with 22 frets and dot inlays, headstock with two tuners per side, two pickups, and control plate with potentiometers for volume (one for each pickup) and three switches: Rhythm/Solo, Bass, and Treble.
This beautiful bass was set up by the Roman luthier Voodoo Guitars, which rectified the fretboard and installed a bone nut, greatly improving playability; the action is very low, comfortable, and fast.
Currently, D'Addario ECB81M Flatwound strings with gauges 100, 80, 65, 45 are installed.
A lightweight (2.437 kg.), comfortable, and fun bass to play, with very interesting tones in line with the reference model. A little gem with excellent value for money.
