 toneA nice used mini drum kit in very good condition; no flaws to report other than a few scratches on the floor tom. 16"x12", 10"x7", 13"x11", 13"x5" snare drum. Sparkle coated finish, a reddish tone with a pinkish hue.

Mahogany shells, 30° bearing edges, sturdy hardware and a convenient cymbal stand. Except for the 10" tom, which has five tension lugs, all other drums have six.

The unique feature of this small, interesting set is the ability to open the bass drum shell to accommodate one of the other three drums inside, as well as the ability to play it with the two halves of the shell slightly open (slotted). This is certainly not a novelty in the drumming scene, but it's still an occasionally appreciated solution.

A drum kit with a more than decent sound, after all, the Catalina series has been a great sales success for years; suitable for various musical genres with a simple change of skins and tuning.
