ELKA Rhapsody 610 String Machine, 1974.
ELKA Rhapsody 610 String Machine, 1974.
Wonderful used keyboard, in excellent condition; the only defects are a cigarette burn on the last two keys and a non-original fader knob. Its original hard case and a Behringer FCV100 volume pedal are included.
In perfect working order and recently serviced.
The Elka Rhapsody 610 is a analog "String Machine" made in Italy in 1972 (And not from 1975 as stated everywhere on the web..). This polyphonic machine offer 4 sounds: Violoncello, Strings, Piano, Clavichord. The keyboard is split in the middle. it is possible to play 1 to 4 stacked sounds with the left hand while playing from 1 to 4 stacked sounds with the right hand. Each sound has a volume control slider for the left hand and a volume control slider for the right hand. There are also three DECAY settings (to go from a short sound to a more continuous sound), one for VIOLONCELLO, one for STRINGS and one for PIANO/CLAVICHORD.
On the keyboard left, there is a cancels setting for the 4 sounds: Then you can turn OFF or turn ON each sounds without having to handle the volume control sliders.
The STRINGS and VIOLONCELLO from the ELKA Rhapsody are all beauties, sweet and alive.
Fantastic vintage stamps; one of the most beautiful string machines ever produced, used - among many - by PFM, Jean Michel Jarre, Supertramp, Ultravox.
