With the now discontinued Jazz Series, DW introduced drums made from maple/gumwood plies for a darker, warmer tone. This snare features eight double tension lugs, True Hoops, and a MAG snare strainer for multiple, precise adjustments.
The body has 45° edges and is lacquered on the inside; the resonance note is B (B).
A drum with a mellow, full and defined tone, with plenty of attack and volume. An excellent "auxiliary," but with the right tuning, it could also be a main snare drum.
