Canopus conosce in maniera approfondita gli strumenti vintage, e in questo caso ha proposto, in edizione limitata, una reinterpretazione di quello che probabilmente è "Il Rullante": sia sal punto di vista estetico sia da quello strutturale, non possiamo non ritrovare i caratteri salienti del celeberrimo Ludwig Supraphonic.
Qui abbiamo però una profondità di 6", anzichè i 5" e i 6,5" proposti da Ludwig; il fusto presenta la stessa bombatura centrale, dieci blocchetti doppi, cerchi a tripla flangia da 1,6 mm., una sordina interna ed una macchinetta tendi cordiera robusta, fluida, tecnicamente ineccepibile.
Canopus, come accennato prima, ha realizzato pochi esemplari di questa serie, quello in nostro possesso ha il numero di serie 00014 e l'etichetta interna riporta la data 9 Agosto 2020.
Un tamburo eccellente, come del resto il modello a cui fa riferimento; estrema sensibilità, range di intonazione molto ampio, presenza e volume generosissimi, il classico rullante adatto a qualsiasi genere musicale.

Revealing and recreating the truth of that aluminum alloy
Even though it is an aluminum alloy, the innermost details of the manufacturing and production of these drums have long been shrouded in mystery and rumors. Various manufacturers and drummers have tried to reproduce the sound but, thus far, none have truly succeeded. Canopus has begun a project that attempts, by peeling the layers of mystery from that drum one by one, to reveal and recreate the truth of that sound.
