We have a large felt muffler hooked on one bass drum hoop, and Slingerland 2 legs hooked in the same way; the 3-ply shells with reinforcing rings have rounded, al most flat, bearing edges, for a woody, extremely warm tone. Of course, these drums seem more for an exibition or a show, but they really sound great and would be a nice collector's item. La finitura Mahogany Cortex fu in catalogo dal 1973 al 1982 e successivamente dal 1988 al 1995. E' un rivestimento plastico piuttosto rigido, e sul timpano possiamo vedere una crepa, abbastanza frequente su questi wrap. Il rivestimento è un Delmar Black, che non era presente nei cataloghi Meazzi dell'epoca, ma che fa una splendida figura su questo piccolo set, almeno a mio modesto parere.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSono stati montati cerchi a tripla flangia simili agli Slingerland Stick Saver, ma sono incluse nel set le due coppie di cerchi originali con le viti e le piccole graffe, in modo tale che i puristi possano avere la batteria nelle condizioni estetiche più vicine all'originale. Troviamo anche, sempre inclusi nel set, la base del blocco porta tom alla cassa, quello per l'asta piatto e per una zampa del timpano, oltre ad un blocchetto porta tom; il tutto in condizioni incredibili, sembrano appena usciti dalla fabbrica!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI cerchi della cassa sono in faggio, laccati neri e con gli inlay in Silver Sparkle, che aggiungono ulteriore eleganza a questa bellissima batteria. Tutte le viti interne sono in acciaio inossidabile, ed hanno sostituito quelle originali, che quasi sempre erano destinate ad ossidarsi irreparabilmente, macchiando anche l'interno dei fusti.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSono presenti le sordine interne su tutti i tamburi e tutto l'hardware è quello originale, tranne i fori di sfiato. pelli pressochè nuove su tutti i fusti, segnalo la bellissima Aquarian Modern Vintage risonante sulla cassa, con i loghi Hollywood President ottimamente riprodotti.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePenso di non aver dimenticato altro. Si tratta di uno strumento portato al massimo della propria potenzialità, nel rispetto dell'originale che ha veramente tanti estimatori (me compreso...). Finalmente una Hollywood da poter suonare e portare in giro senza il patema di rovinarla, di trovarsi con parti spaccate, rotte, disintegrate.
